We have an exciting opportunity for an efficient administrator to support in our Sefton Diabetes teams.
The successful candidate will have good organisation and people skills, be computer literate and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and high-quality administrative support service and will be expected to deliver excellent customer care. The post holder will have the ability to support with call handling whilst being empathetic and understanding to service users.
The vacancy will be mainly based from 5 Curzon Road, Southport, PR8 6PL, but there may be occasions where you are required to work from Litherland Town Hall, Hatton Hill Road, L21 9JN.
Main duties of the jobProcess paperwork in desk tray/or if been emailedPatients ReferralsMonitor team stock levelsOrdering via NHS Supply Chain and ORACLEMinute takingSupporting to maintain Microsoft Teams Channel - scanning / uploads and logging detailsCollection and storage or allocation of team stockOrdering, calibration or repair of team Medical devicesAny ad-hoc requestsAnswer Telephone QueriesBooking of appointments and diary management for Clinical teamSending appointment letters in a timely mannerTelephone calls to and from service users, stakeholders, and outside agenciesEnsuring all actions against admin role are followed through daily with completion or carry over for further discussionDaily maintenance of email inboxAttending monthly business meetings to record minutes and disseminate to teamResponding in a timely manner to requests from Clinical Leads, Operational Service Manager and Clinical Service ManagerAttending any ad-hoc meetings in relation to the teamSuccessful applicants will be able to organise their own workload and have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly telephone manner. There is a need to be able to work to tight deadlines and withstand the pressure of a busy department and it is essential that you are able to work on your own initiative.
