AEMO at the Heart of Energy AEMO is Australia's independent energy system and market operator and system planner. AEMO's System Design division is responsible for planning the power system in the context of unprecedented transformation. The rapid transition to renewable energy generation and electrification of many sectors (transport, industry etc) has seen sharp rises in proposed transmission connection projects.
AEMO's Forecasting division is responsible for providing medium and long-term forecasts of Australia's energy supply and demand. The team is responsible for delivering critical data that underpins many of our major reports, including AEMO's Electricity Statement of Opportunities (ESOO), Gas Statement of Opportunities (GSOO), and the Integrated System Plan (ISP).
About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager (GM) Forecasting, the Team Administrator provides high quality administrative assistance to the GM and to the Forecasting group as a whole. The role requires being able to 'think on your feet', conduct tasks with minimal supervision, have excellent time management skills, and a proactive approach to fulfilling tasks within deadlines.
You will work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment and are responsible for building strong relationships with other team members, within a socially supportive network. Working closely with a highly regarded GM, you have confidence in your abilities to take initiative and handle tasks independently with the opportunity to improve existing processes, making a real impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the team's operations.
What you will be doing Provide executive support to the Group Manager – including diary management, triage and resolve emails, organise travel, meeting coordination including preparation of agenda items and actions, coordinate team meetings. Work with Forecasting teams to support them in delivering their KPIs which align with AEMO's corporate plan. Provide accurate and timely administrative support including processing expenses and invoices, formatting correspondence and reports, creating purchase orders and payment of invoices. Maintenance of team sites on SharePoint. Support the team to deliver major publications. Confidentiality is essential as you'll handle sensitive information and maintain discretion at all times.

What you will bring to the role Education Relevant administrative qualifications or experience / Yr 12 or equivalent. High level experience in an Administration Officer / Receptionist role within a corporate environment. Experience and Knowledge Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience working with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat. Demonstrated calendar and diary management experience. Demonstrated ability to prioritise projects and daily tasks effectively considering both internal and external influences. Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously and in a team with good organisational skills. Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and plan. High level of attention to detail and an appreciation for quality.
