Leading Independent Girls School Commencing Term 1, 2025 1.0 FTE - Permanent role About the role Seymour is seeking a passionate, innovative teacher who is committed to providing an excellent education for primary school girls across Reception – Year 6. This role commences Term 1, 2025 at 1.0 FTE.
Key Responsibilities Design curriculum materials and lessons that reflect best practices in literacy, numeracy, and inquiry-based learning. Collaborate with other educators to enrich and adapt learning experiences for a diverse student body. Demonstrate a commitment to the wellbeing of students, fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere and collaborating with colleagues, parents, and students to address individual needs. Engage in College community activities, including co-curricular programs, events, and school excursions, contributing to a holistic learning experience. About you As the successful candidate you will hold:
The ability to teach across Reception to Year 6 with demonstrated experience in the Middle and Upper Years (Year 3-6). Proven experience using initiative, strategic thinking and problem solving. Demonstrated experience engaging stakeholders communicating, encouraging, and developing the ideas of others and successfully implementing outcomes. The capability to work effectively as part of a team developing strong and trusting working relationships. This includes actively contributing to and supporting decisions made by Leadership. Provide First Aid in an education and care setting Current Working with Children Check Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) Training Bachelor of Education (Primary) - qualified to teach from Reception – Year 6 and Teachers Registration Seymour College provides staff with a supportive and dynamic working environment, opportunities for professional development and the capacity to make a valuable and meaningful contribution to the operation of the College.
