Who are you?
UNSW College is looking for a Teaching Services Officer to join our Program Administration Team! The Successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise tasks and solve problems. They will have a relevant degree and experience or equivalent competency gained through other education, training or experience.
What will you do:
The successful Teaching Services Officer will be responsible for supporting the Teaching Services Coordinator in the provision of high-level administrative assistance for Education Teams.
Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
1.Support the Teaching Services Coordinator to ensure a high standard of customer service and assistance is provided to senior academic staff and their respective departments.
2.Maintain permanent and casual academic staff availability and course eligibility lists.
3.Assign staff to a class/timetable based on availability and eligibility lists.
4.Liaise with academic staff regarding the provision of pay forms, teaching hours and leave record-keeping.
Selection criteria of this role include, but not limited to:
•Relevant degree and experience or equivalent competency gained through other education, training or experience.
•Excellent negotiation and written communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, to meet deadlines and maintain a high degree of accuracy within a high-pressure work environment
•High level of competency in information systems and technology
