Applicants for these positions must possess: Strong knowledge of diverse learning needs, experience with developing unit plans aligned to the Australian curriculum and in line with Highly Individualised Curriculum Plans and Different Year Level Partial Individual Curriculum Plans, and effective behaviour support strategies.Nice-to-have skills include experience with sensory processing techniques, knowledge of specific disabilities, and familiarity with assistive technology for enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.Proficiency in adaptive communication methods, like AAC, and the ability to work closely with support staff and families is also crucial.A relevant teaching qualification. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.
