Mackay Engineering College is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for guiding and supervising small classes of students, providing tailored instruction and feedback. You'll also connect with industry professionals to help students transition into apprenticeships.
As a Teacher, you'll play a key role in guiding Year 11 and 12 students through their Certificate II in Engineering Pathways. You will work closely with students to monitor their progress and provide meaningful feedback to support their skill development. You'll also visit students during their work experience placements, offering additional guidance and assessing their growth in real-world settings. You'll contribute valuable insights into their achievements and readiness for the industry.
Maintaining a high-quality, safe learning environment is essential, so you'll help keep our industry-standard workshop and facilities in top shape. Your expertise in tool safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) will ensure students develop both technical proficiency and a strong commitment to workplace safety. With adaptable teaching strategies, you'll meet the diverse learning needs of our students and create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with young learners will be key to your success in this role.
