The Alternative Learning Centre (The ALC) at Ipswich State High School is an inclusive learning space for students (15 years and above) who have previously faced significant barriers when accessing mainstream education.
The ALC delivers tailored approaches to curriculum in response to students' individual learning, behavioural, social, and wellbeing needs, in a supportive environment.
This approach focuses on the 'whole' student and addresses their emotional, intellectual, physical, social, environmental, financial, and spiritual wellbeing and development.
The ALC identifies and develops clear pathways to post-school education, training, or employment opportunities, whilst focusing on student-centred learning, wellbeing, and fostering community partnerships.
