Cleveland Education & Training Centre (CETC) is a Department of Education school, operating within the Cleveland Youth Detention Centre at Townsville. The catchment area for the Centre comprises the area graphically north from Rockhampton, west to the border and Island communities off the Queensland coastline.
Our school offers a range of pathways and employment focused VET courses to assist young people in closing individual skills gaps, developing language, positive behaviours, social skills, and gaining knowledge and skills which are prerequisites for further study or a pathway to employment. Older students engage with vocational programs which support either transition into education, employment, or training.
