This role involves leading curriculum delivery, coordinating targeted teaching interventions, and managing student case support within the FlexiSpace program. Through the AIP, the school is striving to achieve socially just and inclusive practices for all students. Strong early years transitions programs support a number of children prior to commencing formal schooling. The music, sporting, and science programs provide opportunities for students to engage with the local high school through the Riverway Cluster of schools. The School has a Community Hub onsite which also runs a regular playgroup.
Kelso SS is a Berry Street Spotlight School with the majority of Teaching and Non-Teaching staff having also undertaken Berry Street Education Model training (BSEM). This training provides strategies for teaching and learning that enable staff to increase engagement of students with complex, unmet learning needs and to successfully improve all students' learning outcomes.
