The Partnership Initiative is a state-wide system response to improving learning and life outcomes for children and students living in our most socio-educationally disadvantaged communities drawing on strengthened whole-of-government partnerships. The Department is seeking applications from teachers, now and into 2025, who are passionate about delivering differentiated learning outcomes to children and students through their genuine willingness to take on new and unique experiences in a Partnership Initiative school.Why Teach in a Partnership Initiative School?Teaching in a Partnership Initiative (PI) school provides an opportunity to enhance your teaching and learning environments through 'on the ground' support. Through delivery of differentiated learning outcomes in a setting that has embedded place-based approaches with a commitment to co-designing local responses with families and communities, you will be a part of a system change that is for improving the learning and life outcomes of children and students. Partnership Initiatives offers a holistic support system to ensure your success within the PI schools is one that is rewarding both professionally and personally.In PI schools you will have the potential to fuel your higher purpose through:Tailored coaching and well-being supportCultural Capability programs developed in partnership with local communitiesAccess to the Education Futures Institute to support you as you transition into your role, as well as throughout your careerAbout YouAs a teacher in a Partnership Initiative school, you will work alongside children, students, families, and communities that have a high degree of complexity and vulnerability. The Partnership Initiative approach provides locally responsive, flexible, integrated and tailored strategies co-designed with the community. For teachers, this means that PI schools co-design local action ensuring the community benefits are understood, owned, and, where possible, implemented by the community.Key attributes for success in this role include, but are not limited to:Open-mindedness and willingness to take on new, unique, and challenging experiences – without this, success cannot be achieved.A willingness to be open to feedback to best support capability and professional developmentExperience with Trauma Informed Practices, Advisory Visiting Teacher services, and/or Indigenous English as an additional language or dialect and different cultural contextsAn innate ability to develop, build and maintain relationships within the school, community, and departmentWhat is the Partnership Initiative?Forty-two schools are identified across Queensland schools in communities that have a high degree of complexity and vulnerability. These schools require higher levels of coordinated support to deliver effective local responses to community challenges and opportunities.
