RoleThe classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges- range 1 and range 2. The primary focus is on planning and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
Range 2 teachers assist in improving student performance and contribute to school policies. They are expected to model exemplary classroom practice and mentor other teachers.
Range 1 teachers focus on developing skills with structured support, planning and teaching to achieve specific outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesThe role may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups and individuals;Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation;Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings;Undertaking non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified in the specified curriculum areas.
