Teacher Librarian - The Rivers Secondary College Lismore High Campus Lismore High Campus has a proud tradition of serving the Lismore Community and was founded in 1920, the first public high school in town.
The school has a FOEI of 118 with 440 students enrolled.
We are proud to be located on Bundjalung country with 20% of our students identifying as Aboriginal.
The school has a Support Unit consisting of 3 classes.

All year 7 students learn Broader Bundjalung as their mandatory LOTE subject.
Students have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities and the Campus provides opportunities for involvement and competition in a breadth of sports.
Lismore High Campus is part of The Rivers Secondary College and works collaboratively with Richmond River High Campus and Kadina High Campus through enhanced curriculum delivery to Year 11 & 12.

Position InformationThis position is for a Teacher Librarian at Lismore High Campus.
Selection Criteria
Approval to teach library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, students and their carers to improve student outcomes.
Capacity to deliver innovative lessons and small group sessions to support students in learning across the curriculum whilst managing the role of Teacher Librarian.
Demonstrated creative and flexible approach to managing a library that functions as a learning hub across the school to support literacy, numeracy, HPGE and critical thinking.
ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.
The successful applicant will be appointed to The Rivers Secondary College and initially based at Lismore High campus.
