Smaller class sizes allow students greater opportunity to identify their strengths and work to improve areas in which they lack confidence.Indie College is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers nationally recognised training. Indie College supports young people and adults to re-engage back into education who may have disengaged or are impacted by a variety of personal or health circumstances.The successful applicants will work with Indie College students one-on-one or in small groups to deliver the VCE Vocational Major/Victorian Pathways Certificate. This is a non-traditional teaching role with a strong focus on re-engaging students who have not experienced success in traditional learning settings.Core Workplace ObjectivesPreparation and delivery of programs in line with appropriate curriculum.Enhancing effectiveness in the classroom through improved teacher knowledge, practice, and professional engagement.Ensuring the most effective use of time and resources in the delivery of classes aligned to student's individual learning and pathways plans.Promoting the school's alternative educational and strengths-based model to ensure student goals and personal outcomes are achieved.Flexibility to travel between locations.Work closely with College staff.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching duties are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Key duties may include but are not limited to:Writing curriculum that provides adjustments for students.Planning, writing, and delivering structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student.Embedding best practice pedagogy into lesson plans to engage students.Working collaboratively in a small team to implement feedback.Supporting students with a range of learning needs, including disabilities and behavioural disturbances.Collaborating to write Individual Learning Plans for all students.Providing timely and specific feedback to students to support learning growth.Assessing and reporting student achievement and progress.Building positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.Manage/Coordinate teaching schedule to maximise curriculum delivery and learner outcomes.Use of the Canvas learning management platform to create accessible content for learners.Minimum Requirements:Qualification in Teaching.Annual National Police Checks.Hold a current VIT registration (VIC).Benefits of Indie EducationAttractive PBI Salary packaging.Uniform provided.Annual paid professional development and training.15 days paid personal leave.Paid parental leave provisions.Company laptop and mobile phone provided.Access to an Employee Assistant Program.Indie School Victoria is a child safe organisation.
