Youth Off The Streets – Cordeaux Heights NSWYouth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. We offer crisis accommodation and housing services, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, life skills and employment programs, cultural support and community engagement, among other services. We focus on early interventions that empower young people and strengthen communities.Craig Davis College, Cordeaux Heights was opened in February 2013 and provides education for young people who are either disengaged or at risk of becoming disengaged from mainstream education. Student progress is facilitated by Individual Learning Plans that provide opportunity to support students in Year 9 - 12 with students working towards achieving the RoSA, HSC, Vocational Education & Training (VET) or employment.About the role:YOTS is looking for a secondary or primary trained Teacher in Maths on a Fulltime Maximum Term basis until the end of Term 4 2025 to join our team at our school in Cordeaux Heights.Experience, Skills and Abilities:Ability to work with young people who have been marginalised in previous schoolsAn understanding of the principles that underpin a child safe organisation including mandatory child protection procedures.Demonstrated capacity to respect and work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people of diverse cultural backgrounds.Additional experience in outdoor recreation, performing arts, creative arts, sport, fitness or other extracurricular activities are desirable qualities.Requirements:The person we seek will ideally have the following:An accredited four year undergraduate teaching degree.
