This position would be suitable for a secondary or primary trained teacher with experience in trauma informed approaches and inclusive education. The ContextCarbrook Centre is a Christian independent, co-educational special assistance school catering to students from Year 7 to Year 12 who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. The school's Governing Body is Transformed Futures. Currently, 36 students are enrolled, all requiring substantial or extensive support. Carbrook Centre offers an individualised, relational, and holistic approach to education, specifically designed for students with disabilities, as well as social and emotional challenges often due to childhood developmental trauma. More details about these foundational values can be found on our website.The RoleThe role of Teacher at Carbrook Centre is to supports students in areas of academic learning and wellbeing. The Teacher requires a high-level of knowledge and skills in supporting with complex needs including students impacted by complex trauma and specific disabilities. Reporting to the Head of Campus, the Teacher will collaborate with their team to plan, teach, assess and report using following the school education program.
