Y Schools Queensland - Senior Redlands Campus is in search of our next classroom hero as a Teacher on a Permanent Full-Time basis to support our school based in Victoria Point, QLD. What will my time look like? Delivering academic and wellbeing programs to students in Science and HPE, open to all subjects. Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students. Support the Head of Campus/School in the operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing, and vocational objectives. Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment which is learner-focused, safe, supportive, and aligned to the curriculum. Collaborate with like-minded peers to plan, write, and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student. Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning. Support our incredible young people with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low levels of literacy/numeracy, and mental illness. Support our young people to know success! Am I a good match? Hold a relevant University degree, current Queensland College of Teachers Registration, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Qualifications. Experience in Science and HPE teaching. Apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education. Knowledge to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish an appropriate learning environment in which students are encouraged to work toward their potential. Effectively communicate with students, including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills and the ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment.
