Scotch Oakburn College is seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher - Health & Physical Education to join our dynamic team in Launceston, Tasmania. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students.
What you'll be doing
Delivering engaging and innovative Health and Physical Education lessons to secondary students Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies to support student learning and growth Collaborating with colleagues to plan and assess curriculum, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and participation Providing pastoral care and support to students, contributing to their overall development Actively participating in the wider school community, including extracurricular activities What we're looking for
Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Tasmanian Teacher Registration Board Demonstrated experience teaching Health and Physical Education in a secondary school setting Excellent subject matter knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to learn Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest teaching practices and strategies Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the wider school community What we offer
