Scotch Oakburn College is seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher - Head of Languages to join our dynamic staff on a contract basis. This is a higher duties tenured position ******** .
In this key role, you will oversee the Languages Department offered through Junior, Middle and Senior Schools, to enhance learning, and wellbeing for students.
This position is based on the College's Penquite Campus and focuses on leading learning for students and staff in the Language Departments, specifically:
leading student learning in language across the College;coordinating and evaluating delivery of same; andproviding leadership support, guidance and learning for all staff (teaching and non-teaching) within the Language Department.What we're looking for Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration BoardExpertise in teaching one or more modern languages, such as French, Chinese or JapaneseStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and stakeholdersA passion for language learning and promoting cultural understandingFamiliarity with the Australian Curriculum and experience in curriculum developmentWhat we offer At Scotch Oakburn College, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
