Salary: Teacher, $82,317 - $119,246 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025. Ridge View Secondary College (SC) is seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent, and enthusiastic English teacher with excellent interpersonal skills. Our college embraces our motto of 'Believe', 'Aspire' and 'Pride' across the board, and we are looking for a teacher who will promote these core values.
The English department is a learning area that prides itself on its collegiality and support; staff can expect a range of development and coaching opportunities to help them reach their professional goals. In addition, staff can expect to be involved in a range of curriculum development and leadership roles, whilst there are opportunities for suitable teachers to teach Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) English and Literature in the future.
The successful applicant will ideally show the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum. As part of this role, the English teacher will engage and build productive working relationships with students and collaborate with colleagues to improve student results.
Similarly, the successful applicant should have the ability to work collaboratively to plan and implement effective teaching and learning plans. You will ideally provide excellence in creating and maintaining a supportive and safe learning environment and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.
