This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025.
Australind Senior High School (SHS) is located north of Bunbury with easy access to the wider Southwest region. Australind SHS is the largest Independent Public School in the South West region of Western Australia. We are also one of the most successful, with a strong history of outstanding success for our students in both ATAR and Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways.

Australind SHS is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative English Teacher who is responsive to change and willing to cater for a variety of learning styles across Year 7 – 12 English Courses, including ATAR English, ATAR Literature, and Year 11 and 12 General English courses.
The successful applicant will ideally be committed to maximising the engagement and progress of all students. Capacity and/or experience in teaching ATAR courses across the English Learning Area is desirable.
You should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment and capacity to fulfill the following:
Plan, teach and deliver to classes in both Lower and Senior School.Create and design face-to-face lessons with clear learning objectives and outcomes.Use existing learning materials and develop your own as required.Document and maintain assessment results in accordance with policies and procedures.Evaluate and monitor student learning and course progress.Play a role in student consultations, assessment grading, and moderation.Create an interactive and positive learning environment for students.With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, teachers, and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. Experience in teaching and assessing English in years 7-12 is highly desired, in addition to experience in using Learning Management Systems and other technologies within the classroom.
