To become a TAFE Queensland teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40122 or TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools; TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor; TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development; TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor; Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Additional Mandatory Requirements
Possession of relevant formal vocational qualifications (Certificate III minimum, Australian equivalent):
MEM40119 – Certificate IV in Engineering; and/or MEM50119 – Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade and
ability to demonstrate a broad range of current industry skills and experience.

Casual
$108.10 gross per hour (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)
Teacher
$88,547.03 - $100,232.42 gross per annum (TAFE Queensland Educators' Certified Agreement 2023)
12.75% superannuation 17.5% leave loading 4 weeks Recreation Leave (accrued annually) 5 weeks Non-Attendance Time (NAT) programmed annually for preparation Access to paid professional development Paid overtime arrangements may be available as per operational requirements **Competitive Remuneration Allowance could be used to bring your remuneration up to/or equivalent to Industry.
