Full Time Teaching Opportunity with TAFE Queensland Are you an Electrician who is ready to get off the tools and share your passion and stories, making a meaningful difference with young impressionable future electricians? TAFE Queensland Gold Coast is looking for someone who can bring their core industry skills into the classroom and inspire the next generation of Electrical tradesman.
You will deliver the course in the classroom, through workshops as well as in simulated learning environments at our Ashmore Campus.

The successful applicant will be a trade qualified individual who has a passion for the Electrical Industry.
They will be supported and mentored while they transition into their role as a teacher at TAFE Queensland.

You will shape the future of the electrotechnology industry by: Developing and delivering high quality modern training and assessment programs to a diverse range of students.Ensuring outcome focussed vocational education and training (VET) programs.Linking with industry, schools, universities, & community to ensure success of our students.Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies.Working collaboratively in a dynamic environment focused on positive student outcomes and continuous improvement.This Opportunity is based at TAFE Queensland's Ashmore Campus and is Temporary Full-Time contract to 27 June 2025, with possibility for extension or permanency.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements: Vocational qualification UEE30820 – QLD Electrical Fitter Mechanics licence or equivalent, andProven Experience in a broad range of current industry skills.Interested applicants who hold a Certificate II in Electrotechnology are also encouraged to apply for current and future opportunities teaching our Certificate II in Electrotechnology cohort of students.One of the following training and assessment credentials:TAE40122 or TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment WITH UPGRADE UNITS - TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
