This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025East Kimberley College is one of the largest K-12 schools in the State with approximately 1100 students enrolled.
With almost 52% of enrolments being indigenous, it also has the largest enrolment of Aboriginal students of any school in the State.

We foster individual student interests, encourage active participation in the learning process, and assist students to develop their ability to apply knowledge and skills to real life experiences and challenges.Find out more about our school by visiting or The RoleEast Kimberley College are seeking a passionate inclusive educator to undertake the role of Teacher - Education Support, providing an educational program and pastoral care to our students with diagnosed disabilities.
This role spans across the College, with a teaching load in both the Primary and Secondary "Hubs".
The "Hubs" at East Kimberley College are the homeroom for our students with disabilities.
Some students access the Hub only when required, others spend part or most of their day in the Hub, depending on their required level of adjustment.We are seeking applicants who are hardworking and knowledgeable about a range of disabilities and the implementation of strategies to support and enhance individual development in literacy, numeracy and independent living skills.
The successful applicant will need to positively manage a team of Education Assistants to create a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
They engage with, and contribute to, the school community and work collaboratively with families, therapists, and outside agencies to improve student outcomes.
The Teacher – Education Support is supported by a Program Coordinator – Special Educational Needs.The successful applicant will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
Applicants should also be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning and a high-level of participation in collaborative team planning.
They will plan, program and assess using an integrated curriculum, differentiated to meet individual student needs.
Applicants will ideally have highly effective teaching practices, an ability to self-reflect and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.
