Salary: Teacher, $82,317 - $119,246 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021)

Kent Street SHS is an Independent Public School located within 5 kilometres of the Perth CBD. We cater for a diverse clientele from across WA (Western Australia) who travel great distances or reside at the Rotary Residential College located on our site to engage in our approved specialist programs. We also work as part of the Curtin Education Community to actively engage our local primary schools in the Victoria Park area. The successful applicant will ideally be a dedicated, highly competent, and enthusiastic Drama teacher with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful applicant should have the knowledge and skills necessary to apply a range of high impact engaging teaching strategies and develop a positive classroom learning environment. Similarly, the successful applicant will ideally be able to teach students of varying ability levels across Years 7 to 12 in a highly engaging manner, be highly motivated, possess data literacy skills and monitoring processes, and be student and relationship focused. The successful applicant should possess the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school Drama curriculum.
The successful applicant should support the implementation of the school's business plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives, and have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching. As part of their standard practice, teachers should embrace opportunities to reflect on and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practices using a variety of methods available within the school.
