Salary: Teacher, $78,397 - $113,568 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021)
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 Northam Senior High School (SHS) stands on the bank of the Avon River and has a proud and rich history of providing a comprehensive curriculum to students in Years 7-12 from the Northam and surrounding Wheatbelt districts students. The successful applicant will ideally be an enthusiastic, motivated and passionate teacher of Digital Technologies with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning in the secondary context. Teachers at all stages of their career are encouraged to apply, including new graduates. Successful candidates will specialise in Digital Technologies and ideally possess the professional knowledge, understanding and experience to develop and implement engaging and purposeful learning experiences within the Digital Technologies curriculum. A broad skillset and knowledge in areas including but not limited to Cybersecurity, Gaming, Artificial Intelligence and Coding are desirable and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be beneficial but not essential to this role. 
The successful applicant is encouraged to utilise a wide range of assessment and reporting methods to indicate student progression in relation to the relevant achievement standards. A commitment to inclusive education and a strategic approach in planning for improved student outcomes with experience or capacity to differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of students with a range of achievement levels, language backgrounds and disabilities will be highly regarded. You will ideally be able to develop a supportive and positive classroom environment, possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively and effectively in a professional manner. The ability to elicit positive student behaviour using an educative approach is highly desirable. Previous experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is desirable.
