Teacher Development and Recognition Specialist HE$104,888 to $118,578 pa + 17% super + 6 weeks leaveFull time, continuing appointmentProfessional level 8 Salary - $104,888 to $118,578 paPlus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leaveCasuarina CampusDevelop and coordinate teaching and learning professional development plans and promote teacher recognition opportunities at Charles Darwin University (CDU)About the PositionAs the Teaching Development and Recognition Specialist, you will play an important role in bringing CDU's Transformative Teaching and Learning Core Plan 2022-2026 vision to life by providing engagement and advocacy in educational innovation, teaching excellence and teaching recognition.You will help transform teaching and learning across the University by implementing HE Faculty and TAFE professional development plans and associated activities as well as providing support to academic teaching staff to engage with internal and external award and grant schemes.About YouTo be successful, you will require:A postgraduate qualification or progress towards a postgraduate qualification and equivalent experience, knowledge and training in teaching and learning, provision of professional learning, project management, and teaching recognition programs to achieve strategic and operational outcomes.Demonstrated ability for collaborative leadership to implement transformative strategies that focus on delivering innovative and quality professional learning and recognition programs that motivate and engage stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to support the promotion of and application for teaching recognition awards and grants.Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of educational compliance, standards and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and practice of effective professional learning practice and facilitation strategies.Proven capacity to deliver professional learning activities and assist in identifying possible candidates, providing encouragement, support and feedback with confidentiality and discretion.Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and application of cultural diversity, especially Indigenous cultures.Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail to independently facilitate the planning, administration, records and data management, document control and stakeholder liaison.Proven time-management skills to manage multiple groups of teaching recognition nominations, applications, and submissions against fixed deadlines.Highly developed communication skills to liaise effectively with external award, funding, and accreditation bodies, with the ability to source information from a variety of external bodies and establish and maintain productive relationships with contacts.Proven ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity, and accountability.RemunerationAppointment to this role will be at Professional Level 8.
The base salary will be in the range of $104,888 to $118,578 per annum.
