The Department of Design and Finishing Trades provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong industry links. We are seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to deliver Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology course and assist with the Certificate III in Upholstery.
The successful candidate will develop and deliver high-quality education and training in Automotive and Marine Trimming where you can share real life experiences with students. You will engage in all facets of the learning process, from course enquiries to developing resources and assessment tools. Using diverse teaching strategies, you will cater to the varying needs of students and support their educational journey. You will also participate in course coordination activities, staff meetings, and continuous improvement processes, ensuring the effective operation of the department. As a key part of the team, you will foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment while actively engaging in professional development to maintain industry currency.

ABOUT YOU Demonstrated current knowledge and experience in motor vehicle and boat interior trimming.Proven ability to apply innovative and flexible teaching and assessment strategies in vocational education, including the use of ICT for student learning.Experience in computer-aided production drawings (CAD) preferred but not essential.Sound understanding of adult learning methodologies and contemporary teaching practices within the VET sector, including an understanding of apprenticeship.Experience designing and delivering course content that supports diverse student needs, promoting independent learning strategies.Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage tasks autonomously and collaborate effectively in a team environment.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications.Relevant certifications or licences.
