About Us NumberWorks'nWords has over 40 years' experience and success in offering Maths and English programs across our 70 centres worldwide. Our Norwood centre opened in 2012 and has grown rapidly, followed by the Unley centre in 2016. We provide a vibrant, fun-filled, and collaborative learning environment for students from Reception to Year 10. Through our unique and proprietary tutoring model we develop individualised student plans that build confidence and through harnessing the power of 'fun', get results.
About the Role You will work side by side with the owner to continue to grow the centre and your role will include:
Supporting, creating, and leading a positive culture that promotes the vision and mission of NumberWorks'nWordsPreparing the centre for daily sessions and ensuring whiteboards and displays are professionally presented and continually updated.Checking student planning daily and communicating with the owner and tutors regarding achieving student goals and outcomes.Assisting with student changeovers and meeting and greeting students and parents.Working on the floor during sessions, interacting, teaching, and supporting student learning.Supporting, motivating, training, and guiding tutors before, during, and after teaching sessions.Assisting and administering new student evaluations.Assisting with parent reporting.Answering phones, responding to enquiries, booking assessments, and taking payments.Managing the student timetable, absentees, and lesson changes.Completing daily administrative tasks including rostering, payroll, and preparing the centre for teaching time.Completing all tutor and manager training as provided.Skills and Experience Teaching experience would be advantageous but not essential however experience in a learning or tuition environment or similar role is required.A passion for maths and/or English. While you may be stronger in one discipline, you feel confident with both subjects. (High school maths would be advantageous)The ability to inspire, motivate, and support a team of around 20 young adult tutors. Holidays would be during school holiday times and when we are not running our holiday program. Remuneration will be negotiated depending on experience.
