You will teach as part of our Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) or Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program.We have a number of exciting temporary full-time or part-time teacher positions available until June 2025 (with possibility of extension) to join our AMEP and SEE team at TAFE Queensland's Logan Campus. There are several opportunities, and these include day class as well as evening classes.This position reports to the Educational Team Leader, Logan campus.The salary range for a Teacher at TAFE Queensland is $89,799.32 - $112,392.64 (gross) per annum depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.• Four (4) weeks recreation leave (accrued annually)• Five (5) weeks Non-Attendance Time programmed annually for preparation• Access to Employee Assistance ProgramMandatory RequirementsPossession of ALL of the following:A recognised, Post Graduate Qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) qualification;A recognised Undergraduate degree (preferably in Education);Recent teaching experience in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages to adult learners in Australia.Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor;TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus:oTAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; andoTAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B;A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:oTAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor;oTAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor;oTAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set;A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
