Full-time 12-month Fixed Term TraineeshipObtain your Certificate III in Education Based School SupportOpportunity to grow and develop your careerToowoomba Grammar School (TGS) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed trainee to undertake a Teacher Aide Traineeship to commence in January 2025.
In this role, you will assist with classroom routines and help manage and care for students during class activities. Additionally, you will support various tasks both inside and outside the classroom, including duties in the Art Room, Library, and Junior School administration. As part of this traineeship, you will also work towards completing a Certificate III in Education Based School Support, allowing you to gain a valuable qualification while you work.
As a part of this traineeship program, you will undertake 375 hours of study over 12 months and on completion of your Traineeship, will be awarded your Certificate III in Education Based School Support. Your commitment to this Traineeship is important to TGS and will be enhanced by the collective knowledge of the School. You will be provided with 'on the job' training, however you will need to complete study on your own time. There will be opportunities for you to bring your newly acquired knowledge to contribute to making innovative changes in your role.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have strong organisational and communication skills: Being able to manage workloads, interact with colleagues and maintain accuracy in administration tasks.Demonstrate customer service excellence: A confident phone manner, ability to liaise effectively, and maintain positive relationships are essential for supporting stakeholders.Possess beginner to intermediate computer skills: The ability to use Microsoft applications and quickly learn school software like TASS is key.Exhibit professionalism and reliability: Displaying professional appearance, being punctual and maintaining confidentiality while adhering to company policies.Remuneration: Wages can be up to $809.70 per week (plus superannuation), depending on your highest year of schooling completed, and the number of years currently out of school. These figures are as per Schedule E of the National Training Wage of the Miscellaneous Award 2020.
