Alamanda College is currently involved in two building upgrade projects. Over the next 3-4 years the portable buildings will be replaced through a VSBA masterplan. This is an exciting time for the new designs fit for purpose for the next decade at Alamanda College.
The design of the permanent buildings in the school is open plan, the school has many relocatable classrooms. A strong focus is placed on collaborative teaching and learning. The school's design lends itself to flexible groupings of children with a differentiated focus on group and individual tasks. The classrooms are grouped in learning communities with shared learning spaces, the modern design requires a demonstrated ability to utilise pedagogical practices suited to these learning spaces.

RoleFull time attendance from 8.30am to 3.00pm, 5 days per week is a requirement for this position along with school holiday attendance for up to 6 days as per employment conditions specified by the Department of Education.
An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.
ResponsibilitiesProvides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines.Supports communication between teachers and parents.Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting.Addresses immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure.Provides basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting.Supports teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision.Provides medical intervention support to a student/s, under specific conditions, with appropriate training and guidance.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
