As a Teacher Aide, you will work closely with educators to assist in classroom activities, provide individualised support to students, and help create an engaging and inclusive atmosphere. About the role: As the Teacher Aide, you will:
Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.Responsibilities include:
Assisting students with special needs, including moving disabled pupils, assisting with positioning, meals, toileting, and dressing of pupils unable to care for themselves.Assisting students who are blind or have low vision to access their classes.In-class support for diverse learners, including students with ASD and physical impairment.Assisting with computer-based tasks to support student learning.Playground supervision duties, including supported eating spaces and transport zones for student arrivals and departures.Communicating effectively and displaying high levels of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.Maintaining anecdotal records on students for reviewing their development.Displaying respect and empathy for students with high-level needs.Maintaining confidentiality, tact, reliability, and sensitivity to students and their families.Assisting in the supervision of educational activities under the direction of a teacher.Contributing to the welfare, health, and safety of students, including the delivery of first aid, with formal training required for administering first aid.Our ideal candidate would possess these attributes:
