Position Information
Morpeth Public School is located in Morpeth, a suburb of Maitland in the Hunter Region of NSW. The school has a current student enrolment of 259 (10 classes), with 14% Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students and 5% from families with English as an additional language / dialect. Our school is committed to ensuring that quality teaching, underpinned by explicit teaching strategies, is evident in all classes and drives student learning. Selection Criteria
Approval to teach K-6 with demonstrated ability and proven experience to develop and deliver high quality teaching and learning programs, underpinned by explicit teaching and personalised intervention for students. Demonstrated ability and knowledge to lead and deliver high quality PE and sports programs, that provide extended opportunities and pathways for students. Demonstrated and proven ability to integrate information and communication technology into classroom practice to support the growth and attainment of students. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and productively with students, parents, staff and the wider community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity. Special Notes
