Teacher - Health and Physical Education/Rugby League Coordinator - Coombabah State High School Applications are sought from enthusiastic and dedicated educators for the position of Health and Physical Education Teacher / Ignite Rugby League Coordinator Years 7-12 at Coombabah State High School.
This role is integral to reinforcing high expectations and cultivating a high-performance culture within all aspects of the Ignite Rugby League program, ensuring alignment with the program's core vision and values.

The Ignite Rugby League Program is a flagship initiative, designed to engage students with a passion for sport while building leadership, discipline, and resilience.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Operational Facilitate weekly league parades and lead communication regarding the rugby league program between students, staff, and the community.
Manage the rugby league games calendar, including organising related excursion planners and transportation arrangements.
Coordinate the planning and presentation of rugby league and sports awards.
The coordinator will have a reduced teaching load (220 minutes per week) with line management by the Health and Physical Education Head of Department.
Teacher Aide support is provided for administrative tasks.
Promotion and Recruitment Advertise, promote, and conduct Rugby League trial days.
Attend local club rugby league games to identify prospective students and encourage program applications.
Collect and review applications in consultation with the Head of Department (HOD) and Deputy Principal (DP).
Collaborate with the school's marketing team to advertise and promote the program effectively.
Rugby League and NRL Relationships Cultivate and maintain positive professional relationships with Rugby League and NRL affiliates.
Represent Coombabah State High School at cluster and district rugby league meetings, driving collaboration and program alignment.
Applicants for these positions must possess:
A relevant teaching qualification.
Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.
Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
Working rights in Australia, which means you have, or you are eligible to obtain a valid Australian Visa with work rights (if you're not already an Australian Citizen or resident).
