The position will have a strong emphasis on Reading and the Australian Curriculum Version 9 (ACARA), whilst supporting and coaching staff on implementing the Australian Curriculum with a focus on the P-6 Curriculum Model.

Biloela is located 121km south west of Gladstone in Central Queensland. Biloela State School caters for the needs of students from a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, from Early Childhood to Year 6. About the Role:Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead the curriculum planning process for P-6 (Prep to Year 6), ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum Version 9.Deliver high-quality coaching and support for teachers and teacher aides, helping them improve instructional strategies, particularly in reading.Work with staff to ensure effective and aligned planning for curriculum delivery.Provide high-level coaching to educators to enhance teaching practices, particularly for reading and general curriculum delivery.Support the development of differentiated instruction strategies for a diverse range of students.Collaborate with staff to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices.Work with teams to develop and refine planning, ensuring that the curriculum is implemented effectively.Required Qualifications and Skills: Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum Version 9, including its structure and implementation strategies.Expertise in reading instruction across primary school grades, with a particular focus on best practices and differentiated strategies.Excellent skills in coaching, mentoring, and curriculum planning to enhance teaching and student outcomes.Desired Attributes: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to engage with teachers, aides, and leadership teams.Flexibility and adaptability to work in a shared role with negotiated rostering arrangement.Interested?
