Reporting to the Finance Director ANZ, the Tax & Treasury Business Partner Tax will be responsible for ownership of all tax compliance and planning matters, including completion of all direct and indirect tax returns and ensuring ongoing compliance with the appropriate tax authorities, regional/global deadlines, and other commitments as required.
Key Responsibilities: Ownership of all tax items for consolidated tax group, including tax returns for head entity and subsidiaries. Ensure annual tax returns, supporting schedules, reconciliations & other filing requirements are completed and filed in a timely manner. Provide solutions and research to any tax issue arising, including presentation to corporate tax and discussion with external advisors. Will be the key contact point for any tax reviews/audits by ATO. Manage relationships with external consultants like tax lawyers and tax advisors. Alignment of tax planning discussions with corporate tax team, including implementation of plans. Preparation of monthly tax accounting journals for all entities and coordination with offshore and local finance teams for monthly reconciliation. Guide, review and approve the day-to-day treasury operation related entries/reports. Meet the local, regional and corporate reporting requirements. About You: As a seasoned Tax Partner, you'll be at the forefront of shaping corporate tax strategies, with extensive experience in Australian Corporate Income Tax, including both tax accounting and compliance. You'll be the go-to expert for local and regional teams, leveraging your deep expertise to provide trusted guidance and insights. Key Skills: Tax experience with significant exposure to Australian Corporate Income Tax. Deep understanding of Australian and New Zealand corporate tax rules. Understanding of Australian and US GAAP Tax accounting standards. Strong computer systems analysis skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to provide solid advice and accounting support to key stakeholders within the business. Open-minded to fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines. Working knowledge of financial/treasury systems such as SAP desirable. What's on Offer?
