Nestlé is seeking a candidate to collaborate with the Group Tax Manager in enhancing business value, mitigating tax risks, and ensuring compliance with income tax, WHT, FBT, GST, customs duty, and other local taxes in Australia, NZ, and the Pacific Island markets. Primarily focused on Australian taxes, with additional responsibilities for other Oceania countries. This role is part time. Responsibilities:Offers expert advice on tax matters in business transactions and projectsIndependently manages Oceania tax return lodgement obligations for various taxesCollaborates with shared services centres who will prepare the tax returns for review and validation by the market tax teamReviews Vevey Tax Schedules and tax disclosures in local statutory accountsProvides recommendations based on informed analysisAssists Group Tax Manager in coordinating tax audits and litigationsMaintains up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and jurisprudenceLeads tax optimisation planning with support from Group Tax ManagerActively embraces and demonstrates ability to implement new ways of working to improve efficiency and effectiveness of tax processes including adopting technology and data analyticsAcquires knowledge of Oceania business and provides backup support for other team members.Skills and Experience:Completion of a finance and / or law university degree. Post graduate qualification (eg. CA / Master of Taxation) desirable.Experience in planning and organisation of workflow to meet critical deadlines.Experience in establishing and maintaining close working relationships with staff across the organisation including demonstrating good leadership and communication skills.Experience providing value-added and timely advice in response to queries raised by HR, Business Units/Factories.Proven experience in a tax advisory/compliance role in corporate and / or with external consultants. Big 4 Accounting Firm tax experience desirable.SAP system experience an advantage.Fluent in English.
