Quickly becoming a leader in its field, the Company has gone from strength to strength and is experiencing rapid growth. Because of this, we are looking for a Tax Manager - a newly created role to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the controllership team to ensure the compliance and timing of GST, ITR, FBT, PAYG, withholding tax, payroll tax, R&D tax claims and tax audits. This includes providing guidance on technical issues, lodgements and possible disputes.
Ensure effective planning and execution of local tax compliance requirements, including preparation and review of tax returns by managing internal and external resources.
Implement transfer pricing policies and review supporting documentation in accordance with Australian legislation and global regulations. This also includes managing local reporting obligations.
Support tax audits with close collaboration with local finance teams.
Monitor new tax developments, identify potential tax issues, analyze their impact on the company, make recommendations to prevent and resolve tax issues and advise the business accordingly.
Provide tax support for major transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
Maintain a high standard of internal control that complies with corporate policies and procedures, local processes and local external requirements.
Liaise across tax, finance, legal, HR and with external advisers to ensure compliance with local jurisdictions and assess areas of risk.
Support a high-performance operating culture throughout the organization which emphasizes customers, teamwork, external focus and personal accountability.
Who are you?
CPA/CA qualification
Minimum of 8-10+ years of tax experience
Possess strong tax knowledge and comprehensive experience in Income tax, GST, FBT
Have strong analytical skills in interpreting/analysing the impact of ever-changing tax laws on business
Experience in managing international tax issues, e.g. transfer pricing
Good finance and accounting knowledge, technical tax accounting experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise, coordinate, and manage tasks
Ability to adapt to rapid change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
A self-starter with a hands-on approach in dealing with day-to-day supporting operations in a fast-paced office environment
Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
