You will deal with key business stakeholders and also collaborate with external entities such as consulting firms and the ATO.

Responsibilities:Prepare tax calculations and returns for various taxes, including Income Tax, FBT, Payroll Tax, GST, Transfer Pricing, Withholding Tax, ACA and CFC Calculations, Tax Reporting Packs, and Deferred Tax.Create and return statements and documents to the Group Tax Manager by set deadlines, while managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required, and manage requests to tax authorities.Prepare business income tax returns and statements for audits, assist in financial planning, and regularly review and update systems.Engage with main stakeholders to maintain strong relationships, identify tax risk areas, and prepare tax position papers supporting adopted tax treatments.Apply strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations to business transactions to minimize tax risk and understand financial landscape and market trends.Assist in the preparation and update of all Transfer Pricing documentation and lodgements, and draft position papers based on legislative analysis.Qualifications:CA/CPA/CTA qualified with between 5-10 years experience is advantageous for this role.Strong experience across Income tax, M&A tax, Transfer Pricing and GST will be desirable.Experience in in-house tax teams in the construction, manufacturing, Food and Beverage, or product-based environments will be advantageous.Experience leading a team and managing key stakeholders in the business is essential.System experience across SAP, OneSource, Cognos, or similar will be desirable.The role is earmarked to start interviewing in January 2025, so please feel free to apply and reach out to Raelene from Ambition should you have any additional questions.
