Responsibilities
Analyze business models and identify areas for tax assessment.
Collaborate with in-house tax teams and coordinate external resources to develop actionable tax solutions for new e-commerce products, features and operational events.
Take and respond to tax queries from business teams as Tax Point of Contact.
Periodically review existing tax solutions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Monitor changes and updates of tax legislation, identify the potential impact on business operations, and prepare teams for the challenge in advance.
Support business teams to understand and comply with tax compliance requirements through training.

The Tax Team at TikTok helps ensure that our company and all our products are tax-compliant throughout different regions and countries. Also, the Tax Team provides support to internal requests and works with multiple different stakeholders to support product and business launches and new features.
About this role
We are looking for a senior-level tax expert to support our rapidly growing E-commerce business in Brazil, Mexico, and other LATAM countries. In this role, you will provide expert tax solutions for business plans, and translate complex tax ideas into clear action points. You will work seamlessly with E-commerce teams and cross-functional partners around the globe. The ideal candidate should have a good mix of tax knowledge and extensive experience advising E-commerce platforms and E-commerce fulfillment businesses.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
5 years or more of tax experience covering Brazil, Mexico, and other LATAM countries with a focus on indirect taxes, including in-house experience.
Strong communication and documentation skills in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.
Ability to set appropriate priorities when multi-tasking, and deliver to a high standard at a pace.
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Tax experience in an e-commerce or digital marketplace company, or professional firm experience.
