Tax Lawyer

The Tax practice is led by a team of Partners who came from national mid-tier firms.
They work on a range of matters from large M&A transactions (up to $100m) acting for major Australian corporates, advising on tax disputes for international clients, and advising HNW clients on their private estates and tax structuring.

The work here looks and feels like a national mid-tier but it's a boutique Melbourne firm.
They have a highly efficient tech stack and admin support to help you get through the work and only require 5 billable hours per day.
The Partners all have young families and they encourage a flexible working environment.
People typically come into the office 1-2 days per week.
Some do 5 because they want to.

We are ideally looking for an Associate level Tax Lawyer with between 2 and 5 years PQE in income tax and federal tax matters (candidates outside of this range are still encouraged to apply).
You will also be working on State tax matters and this role would suit someone looking to build up their skills in this area as the Partners and SAs all have extensive experience in that side and will provide training and mentoring – but we want someone who can jump in and add value on federal tax matters from the outset.
