Tax Accountant - Vat Experience Required

The Company: This multinational company, known for its diversified operations and presence across multiple industries, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their tax team on a 6-month contract.
The company is focused on maintaining a strong internal tax function and ensuring compliance across its various operations.

The Role: Reporting to the Tax Manager, this position plays a key role in managing and optimising tax processes.
Key responsibilities include: Assist in the preparation of lodging VAT returns for South Africa.
Manage withholding tax requirements for international sites.
Convert data to daily exchange rates and calculate international sites.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of FBT returns.
Work out tax instalments for both international sites based on projected values.
Handle payment times reporting and compile monthly financial reports.
Assist with responding to tax return documentation requests and ensure proper record-keeping.
Support tax effect analysis by pulling necessary reports, including Trial Balance and asset data from the system.
Document and streamline key tax processes to enhance efficiency.
About You: Senior Accountant-level experience with solid tax knowledge.
Proven experience in preparing VAT returns, company tax calculations, and FBT returns.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
The ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
