Our in-house designers are influenced by the latest global fashion trends and bring the product to the customer direct from our manufacturers.About the roleWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team at Oscar Wylee. This role has arisen due to our continued growth and expansion. The Tax Accountant will report to the Finance Director and will be responsible for managing the company's taxation compliance and advisory functions.Key responsibilities include:Preparing and lodging company tax returns, BAS, and FBTEnsuring compliance with Australian tax legislationAdvising on tax strategies and planning opportunitiesConducting tax research and keeping abreast of changes in tax lawLiaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodiesAssisting with tax audits and investigationsProviding tax support to internal stakeholders and advising on tax implications of business decisionsThis hybrid full-time role is based at our Sydney CBD head office, with hours to be worked between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.About the personSuccessful applicants must have:A relevant degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA/CA/IPA registrationMinimum 3 years of experience within an Australian Accounting firm.In-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulationsExperience in preparing financial statements, tax effect accounting and tax returns for SMEs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsDesirable:Experience in preparation of New Zealand BAS and Tax returns.Proficiency with Business Central and Xero Tax.If you are interested in joining a growing global network of optometry service providers, please apply.
