About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team at Oscar Wylee. This role has arisen due to our continued growth and expansion. The Tax Accountant will report to the Finance Director and will be responsible for managing the company's taxation compliance and advisory functions.
Key responsibilities include: Preparing and lodging company tax returns, BAS, and FBT Ensuring compliance with Australian tax legislation Advising on tax strategies and planning opportunities Conducting tax research and keeping abreast of changes in tax law Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies Assisting with tax audits and investigations Providing tax support to internal stakeholders and advising on tax implications of business decisions This hybrid full-time role is based at our Sydney CBD head office, with hours to be worked between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. About the person
Successful applicants must have:
A relevant degree in Accounting or Finance CPA/CA/IPA registration Minimum 3 years of experience within Australian Accounting firm. In-depth knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations Experience in preparing financial statements, tax effect accounting and tax returns for SMEs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Desirable: Experience in preparation of New Zealand BAS and Tax returns. Proficiency with Business Central and Xero Tax.
