About the role:
Based in our head office in West Perth, the Tax Accountant will play an important role in supporting the direct & indirect tax compliance obligations across the Australian & New Zealand companies.
Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be a part of a diverse, fast paced, and inclusive team that strongly supports the day-to-day success and operation of our community focused for purpose business, that truly makes a difference to those that need it, around the world.
Your responsibility:
Preparing and meeting our tax compliance and reporting requirements, including income tax, GST, FBT and payroll tax Preparing and assisting with statutory tax effect accounting and reporting Assisting external tax advisors with information requests and supporting documentation Undertake ad-hoc tax technical research and provide tax advice to the business Assist the Tax Manager with broader group initiatives, such as international tax, Transfer Pricing, BEPS and M&A.
Assist with the collation and preparation of information for revenue authority reviews Support with other administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as required Maintain knowledge on current tax laws and regulations
About you:
CA or CPA qualification, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 4 to 5 years demonstrated corporate tax experience in commerce or practice environment Have previous experience with tax effect accounting and preparing income tax returns for consolidated groups Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills with ability to be able to think outside of the box and work with efficiency A driven individual with a passion for continuous improvement and professional growth, eager to expand their experience within a large multi-national group High degree of self-motivation, collaboration, and outcome-driven work ethic
