With an established client base, we are looking for a motivated and capable accountant to be monitored into managing the client base with the opportunity for future growth within our business.
About the role
Reporting to our managing partner, as a tax accountant you will be working alongside a highly experienced and supportive team.
Key requirements and responsibilities:
Manage and grow the base of business, trust, superannuation and individual clients; Prepare financial statements and tax returns for all entities including companies, trusts and partnerships; Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements Prepare and review quarterly and/or monthly activity statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and Land Tax; Assist with tax planning and advisory projects for clients, including preparing reports and audits; Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure, including providing taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations; Provide advice in relation to various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax; Communicate effectively with clients and liaise with ATO and other government bodies; Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies; Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed; and Maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems. A successful candidate will:
Have at least a bachelor degree in the area Have at least 2 years of experience as an accountant Is knowledgeable in Xero, Xero Practice Manager, SuiteFiles, Microsoft Office 365, Class and Affinity as well as other software packages, as required. Be team orientated, and motivated to provide superior client service and outcomes. Have a drive to learn and strong work ethic.
