Who we're looking for: As part of the finance team as a Tax Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with the Senior Tax Accountant and Tax Manager to deliver comprehensive tax and accounting services for the business.
In this role, you'll play a key part in our month-end and year-end tax processes, taking on responsibilities that include: Preparing and lodging income tax, FBT and GST returns Preparing and submitting tax journals Assisting with general ledger reconciliations of tax accounts Reviewing transactional data for tax implications Assisting with providing taxation advice to the wider business Assisting with providing in-house training Contributing to improving tax processes Other ad hoc tasks as required.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with: Degree in Commerce or Business with major in Accounting and/or Tax Obtained or is committed to obtaining a CA / CPA qualification Previous experience in FBT, GST and income tax is desirable Attention to detail Effective verbal and written communication skills High work standard and work ethic Confident with vagueness and uncertainty, but is committed to continuous improvement Ability to establish and maintain relationships across different functions in the business Maintain the BMD culture In return, we offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
