About The RoleWorking as an environmental partner across Tassal's Prawn and Barramundi operations, you will position Tassal for success through the delivery of best-practice environmental performance and regulatory compliance.
Working as an integral member of our high-performing environment team, you will be responsible for providing technical support across a wide range of environmental management activities.
Your tasks will include:
Delivery of compliance across operational sites Assistance with preparation of audit evidence for internal, external, and third-party certification audits Development and implementation of environmental documentation, including technical reports Assistance with compliance monitoring activities across Tassal's aquaculture sites Participation in and representing the environment team at meetings/forums across the broader business or externally Management of contractors who undertake work to achieve compliance objectives Liaison with regulatory bodies as authorised by National Environment Manager Undertake regular site inspections Provision of support to the development and maintenance of the Environmental Management System
About YouOur ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in science, environmental science, environmental engineering or similar Minimum of 2 years' experience in an environmental management role Driver's licence and reliable transport Ability to travel between operational sites, including some interstate travel Experience with Environmental Management Systems (desirable) Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team Be solutions focused with a positive outlook at work Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify and communicate scientific information Astute time management skills and be adaptable to change Ability to deliver high quality reports and documentation
