The role
We are seeking a competent, experienced, pro-active individual with high quality electrical trade expertise to install, maintain, repair and replace electrical systems and equipment for the improvement and safety of TasPorts ports and operations. This is a full-time role including rotating shift work when a woodchip vessel is being loaded. Primarily based at the Bell Bay Port, but also assisting with maintenance works in the Launceston offices and the Lady Baron Port on Flinders Island.
Note some travel to Flinders Island will be required for regular maintenance works.
What you need
To achieve success in this role, you will be a qualified licensed electrician with experience in domestic, commercial and industrial environments with exceptional awareness and understanding of health, safety and environment procedures and processes, preferably in a marine or heavy industry environment. You will have well developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels.
