The role provides authoritative advice related to housing and urban renewal project development and management, research and analysis, and stakeholder relationships, and supports intergovernmental relations activities to progress priorities and outcomes relevant to the Department of State Growth.

Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for two years.
Duties Lead or collaboratively contribute to authoritative policy research, analysis and advice, relating to housing and urban renewal issues, provide succinct insights and recommendations which are based on evidence, reasoning, and consultation with stakeholders. Plan and implement projects using appropriate project management tools and approaches to ensure milestones are achieved and outcomes delivered within time and resource constraints. Prepare high-level written material including advisories, discussion papers, guidelines, correspondence, reports, proposals, minutes, briefs, and communication plans in accordance with the department's agreed standards of practice for government. Foster productive working relationships with stakeholders to ensure that collaborative and consultative processes and partnerships are effective, objectives are achieved, and timeframes adhered to. Manage a diverse range of responsibilities within a complex and dynamic environment, ensuring that work is completed on time and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. Provide surge support as required across the Policy, Strategy and Projects group. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level. An undergraduate degree or higher, in a relevant area.
